Board of Directors
WILMINGTON,
N.C. – Former State Senator Patrick Ballantine of Wilmington has
joined the Board of Directors of the N.C. Property Rights Coalition,
Chairman Kieran Shanahan has announced. Ballantine was the
Republican Party’s nominee for governor in 2004.
“On behalf of property owners all
across North Carolina, I thank Patrick Ballantine for taking a
public stand in defense of our property rights,” said Shanahan.
“Patrick has been a leader in our state for many years, and his
support is important to our efforts to protect private property from
the long arm of big government.”
“In my view, private property rights
are one of the cornerstones of our republic,” said Ballantine. “I
have traveled to every corner of our great state, and I know that
the vast majority of North Carolinians share this view. We must be
vigilant in protecting this important, fundamental right.”
